  • Installation, test, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic scales and equipment for conformance to established standards.
  • Assist in formulating calibration standards, frequencies, and operating procedures for customer and company owned test and measurement equipment.
  • Troubleshoot on-site equipment; identify and implement solutions to ensure timely repairs in coordination with sales and service management.
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.


  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Technical school or industry specific training, preferred
  • Commercial Driver License or permit (CDL) class (B) and clean driving record, required
  • Pass drug, alcohol, and background checks, required
  • Approximately 25% overnight travel within a 150-mile radius, required


  • Good mechanical and logical diagnostic aptitudes.
  • Basic concepts and knowledge of electricity and electronic circuits.
  • Basic computer skills required, networking and multiple interface knowledge helpful.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude toward customers and the ability to problem solve situations.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers, in both oral and written form.
  • Aptitude to apply common sense, understanding, and logic to interpret existing conditions and determine corrective actions necessary.
  • Follow instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables within a standardized situation.
  • Competence in reading and interpretation of documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Familiarity with standard products, and a conceptual understanding of custom system and software applications.
